Job Posting FAQ

Who will be able to view Boston SIM Career Pages?
Answer: Members of Boston SIM will have view access as will a designated individual from any organization that posts an approved position.

What positions will be posted?
Answer: Only positions that would qualify for membership as at the top two membership categories Corporate/Division Head and IT Management Staff Supporting Corporate/Division Heads) would be posted. Each position will be approved by a group from Boston SIM that assures the positions are appropriate.

Does an organization have to be a member of Boston SIM to post a position?
Answer: No. Any organization can request to have a position posted.The posting fee will vary depending on the type of organization.

How will Career Pages add value to Boston SIM membership?
Answer: Boston SIM members considering transition or in transition will have a source to help them identify new opportunities, a distinct advantage for members in transition or considering transition.

How will posting logistics work?
Answer: A position will be submitted using a standard form. Each position will be reviewed by the Boston SIM Career Pages Review Board. Once approved and payment has been received, the position will be posted for the designated period.

How long will positions be posted for?
Answer: Positions submitted by members will be posted for 60 days, non-members for 30 days.

How will Boston SIM members see posted positions?
Answer: Positions will be available on the Boston SIM website. Members who request notification will be automatically notified when new positions are posted and members can opt to have new positions emailed to them.
